Default Buggy won't stay running

My 150cc GY6 buggy starts, then when i push on the gas, it stalls. If I try to start it with my foot on the gas it will not start, unless I release the gas pedal. Can someone please point me in the right direction to getting this fixed?

Could be a clogged pilot jet or intake leak. Is this after it warms up or as soon as you start it?

I pulled the carb off of the buggy and took it apart and cleaned it out, and I am back up and running. However, I noticed the air filter is a foam type filter and I live on a gravel road that gets pretty dusty this time of year. Is there a better filter I could get to help protect my carb better?

I really appreciate everone helping me get my buggy up and running again, Thank you very much!!!!!!

Get rid of your stock air box and use either a Uni Filter (oiled foam ) or a K&N filter(oiled cotton pleted). However since this will give you more air volume you will need to reje the carb. You will get better performance and have a much better filter system. I keep both type in stock. TOM
