Doubtfull. Sounds like the floats running out of gas or blocked fuel line or screwy vacum petcock. cdi usually just go out and coils either go out or break down after getting hot.

You need to check the spark from the cdi to coil when it wont start. Hell just check for spark at the plug. If it aint sparking it's electrical. If it continues to spark but not fire it's mechanical

Are you grounding it when testing? If so then the next step is to isolate where the spark is lost. Be it cdi or coil or even key. Most likely cdi or coil so I would test first the hot going into the coil. If it's good then test coming out of coil. Then check it coming out the coil it's self with no wire. If good then check resistance in the plug wire.

You must not know what a test plug is. It has a clamp on one side you atach to ground and put coil wire on plug end

My cdi and stator both were bad when this issue occurred. If it's not continuing to fire it's because it got just enough voltage to fire the CDI once and then not enough from the stator coil. Check the stator first as that is probably the problem.
