Default 97 trailblazer 250 2 stroke

got my hands on a trailblazer. the guy said he rode it last summer....well...maybe so. but top end insection says otherwise. these motors need to be AIRTIGHT to run properly and i found the clyinder bore to be egg shaped with alot of piston slap. crank is perfect with no up or down play, only slight side to side play. which is fine. its been torn into before due to the replaced wisco piston. just gonna turn it into a nickel and dime fund. i gotta buddy who will bore it for free for me , all i gotta come up with is a new piston and ring setup any opinions as to what brand to go with? right now im leaning towards a Namura piston package.
also note: its had the chain thrown before and broke the lower portion of the gearbox casing. it has been JB welded and appears not to leak.

Wisco is what I used on my banshees. They're light weight performance pistons. They seem good to me...I'm sure you have your reason not to use them though.

One more thing I used mutol 800 to mix in the fuel. 4 ounces to each gallon. Oval shape piston? No telling what the p.o. did to it. But glad your able to take care of that at no charge...

Those were very torqy machines! what bore are you taking it too? I'm also a very big fan of the Wiseco's, as I run them in my Z1.

+3 for Wiseco. For a frankenbuggy donor, I would always go forged. The forged kits are affordable and seem to last a long time. Dirt bike riders at the shop go both directions with these, the forged are less likely to distort, but the namura has a coating on the skirts that helps with cold starts.

If you don't mind, could you snap a pic or two of the gearbox? I have a trailblazer FNR box with the same chain damage. I am mostly looking for mounting tabs and orientation of the box in the frame.
