Default Yerf dog GX150 spiderbox REGULATOR RECTIFIER

Hey guys, brand new to the site and had a question about the regulator rectifier. I have power coming into the regulator rectifier from the yellow/red wire. Is the power supposed to transfer from that wire into the red wire? Not exactly sure how the regulator works? Thanks

The stator creates AC power when the motor is spinning. The regulator/rectifier converts the AC power to DC battery charge voltage. No circuits on this buggy use DC except the starter and solenoid - Choke, CDI and lights all use AC power directly from the stator.
