Default Valve adjustment GY6 150

I'm getting prepared to adjust the valves and have opened up the machine for access. Getting a closer look has left me with a couple questions.
1. Is the valve cover gasket reusable or a one time and replace?
2. Can the valve cover come out through the plastic engine cowling or is it better to remove the cowling first?

I can't seem to find the ID stamping on the engine as described on the forum. I found engraved data on the lower right side below the fan shroud that states: JL1005-07A. I have a sticker on the engine that states: Importer: Hammerhead Off-Road INC, Engine family: ATJPX.150GAL

Sure could use advise, Thanks.

valve cover gasket should be o-ring and reusable. unless you've got something different than most, valve cover should come off without pulling the plastic shrouds.
