Default Should Oil Change Include Filter

Just got a 2008 in great chape w/ little usage. Besides cleaning (including carb), tighten every single loose boltand lubricating everything I am going to change the oil:

1) Do your really have to tilt this thing up to change the oil? All these features and no drain plug?

2) Manual does not mention oil filter. Is that considered part of standard oil change (every 10 hours)? If not how often if ever?

3) Does the GY6 have a belt and/or tourque converter like 'conventional' karts? If not, what does it do for a tranny?

4) If it is a belt inside, do you just run it until it breaks or is their some maintenance involved.

New to all this.
Feel free to point me to good resources.

Thanks a heap.

You should have a drain plug under the motor. When you remove it it should have a oil screen that you just clean and put it back on. You have a drive belt inside your CVT. thats the casing on the left side of motor. A worn belt will squeel. If it breaks you won't go anywhere. You also have variator that carrys weights. And a clutch all inside your CVT. This is an area you'll be going into a lot for changing out worn parts. Like belt and weights and clutch springs.

One more thing. There's also a place where you need to put tranny fluid 80/90 gear oil. You'll need to look at your manual for that. Make sure also your intake to your CVT is clean the little screen. And your CVT inside is dry. No oil nor lubricant goes inside your CVT.
