Widen front track okay???

I have one of the common Azusa kart frames. I would like to widen the front tract when I build a kart. The width as it is (stock) is about 24 1/2" kingpin to kingpin.

To widen the tract is it best to cut the frame and move the kingpins out or are there spindles made for this?
