Question 4 valve head questions

Hi,
I'm curious, if you put on a BBK, can you still use the 4 valve head from a standard sized cylinder? Also, i see some back and forth on the internets about wheather you need a piston machined to allow for the valves. Input?

I have used the 4 valve head with the 2 valve piston but you will need to check valve to piston clearance since many BBK's use a slight domed piston. If you go with a 4 valve head only get the Taiwanese head. The cheap Chinese heads aren't worth a darn. The company who made the Chinese heads are out of the business and 90% of what you find do not oil properly, so maybe 2 years and you will be buying another complete head since you cannot find valves, can, or rockers for those heads.

I'm not really sure since I have not in the past used either of those 4 valve heads. I have not stocked them in a while for they just don't move fast enough and when I purchase them I have to purchase at least 10. I'll order from one of 3 known Taiwanese exporters. Most of what Taiwan sells is made in China just like here but the difference is the Taiwanese develop their own product and have an excellent quality control.

I have. They're machined a bit more to make room.
