Default Helix Belt Size/ Engine Shaking

I shredded my belt to my helix last summer, After doing my online search I purchased belt 743 20 30. After installing the belt, I thought I was all set to go, well I have a problem. My Helix idles fine, and when it is placed into gear, the entire engine shakes really bad then my kart dies. I can jack it up and start it and put in gear and it works fine. I think my belt isn't the right size, its really snug, kinda like its restricting the clutch/cvt from working properly. Would a new belt, a size longer make a difference? I actually have 2 belts that I have ordered, both the same size, 743 20 30. They both seem to tight. Any idea's would be great. Thanks

I'm pretty sure almost all buggies use the "short" case which would be the 743 belt as you bought.

Your original belt probably shredded due to a problem. Most likely the same thing you're experiencing now.

The tight belt and shaking sound like one of your pullies is engaged when it shouldn't be.

1. Have you inspected your rollers inside the variator?

2. Does your clutch pulley open and close if you pull on the outer half?

3. Is your clutch and bell in good condition?

How about a picture of your CVT?
