Default Crossfire 150 hiccups off idle.

Every time i punch it off idle it "hiccups" Will also do it if i punch while just cruising at a steady speed. Best way to descibe it is it feels like i hit the kill switch for a split second. So....punch throttle...hiccup....haul ass....smooth as butter till i let off and punch it again.

Checked carb...new intake just incase...fuel flow is good...im kinda stumped. It did this last year and i cant for the life of me remember what i did to fix it.

Changed coil and it stopped for a couple of hours and started doing it again.

What kind of carb? (although you said it went away after a new coil?)

What coils are you using? Cheap ones don't last long. (buy a quality coil)

Ebay cheapy coils are problematic. Might be the problem,

CV carbs use the elec choke, right? Make sure yours isn't stuck.

Different carbs and coils? Same result?

But it disappeared for a while after you replaced a coil before?

Yep same results....and yep maybe it was just a coincident that it didn't do it after i changed coils the first time....its getting worse now also....maybe its just a bad harness...anywhere to buy the engine harness other than BDs 80 dollar hand made one?

Not sure on the harness.

Any chance of you getting a video of the problem?

Getting worse is actually good. At least it makes it easier to identify as opposed to sporadic problems.

Sliders and its been a few months since ive checked them. But i did have the carb off last night and the intake valve was open and i could see that the exaust valve was like a brick red color.....Could a burnt valve cause this?

Would most likely cause poor compression if it was burnt.

What is your compression?

Don't think your valve is burnt with that hi of compression.

Have you checked your valve clearances?

Have you checked your valve/camshaft timing?

Have you checked your cam chain tension?

Checking your sliders is probably a good idea too. (may have had one flop over)

Maybe check the clutch, bell, and belt. You might be slipping

Lastly, can you try a different CDI just for the Hell of it? It almost sounds like a timing issue. (which is why I want you to look at valve timing)

Have tried a couple different cdis. Valves are adjusted. Ill check timing etc. clutch bell and belt are good but ill check sliders.
