If ground is connected to pin 3 instead of 4, it is a DC powered model.

Measure pin 6 for AC or DC voltage to find out which wiring and model you have.

An ac volt CDI will have 2 wires at the 2 pin plug whereas the DC CDI will only use 1 wire at the plug.
