Default Exhaust gasket, studs and nuts

Discovered couple weeks ago that the previous owner must have had his exhaust nuts come off and he used the wrong sized nuts to reinstall it. Of course one stud broke and its missing the correct nuts and there is no gasket.

So I went to order new gasket, studs and nuts from gokartsrus.com and they are on back order for two weeks.

Normally this isn’t a big deal except I have an Endrigo Monster Power head and an A11 cam coming and im installing them this weekend.

I want to order from somewhere else but I see there are different sizes of studs and nuts and different sizes and types of gaskets. The parts manual don’t say much for sizes or anything.

What do I need and where do I order from?

I'm a little confused here, Are you wanting to repair the old head or do you need the stuff for the Endrigo? measuring the studs in the old head will give you the size. The gasket depends on the type of exhaust pipe mounting flange. If the flange is welded to the end of the pipe then you'll need the flat gasket. if the flange is loose and can spin on the pipe then you'll use the ring type that looks like a washer. The endrigo head should come ready with studs. probably 8mm. Most of the large port heads, 30mm, use 8mm studs. Call your vender to confirm this.

Those pieces don't come with the new head.

I bought the 8mm for my performance head. I think the stock is 6mm.

You will need to know what size studs the head takes. As ckau stated the stock head uses a smaller diameter studs then the performance heads do. The last I knew he was porting the old 125 heads which would use the smaller studs.

Found what I needed at a scooter shop.

The only question I have now is how does the gasket go on? One side is a redish fabricy looking and the other is metal. Which side faces the head?

All my gaskets have either a redish or gray center sandwiched between soft metal. If the gasket is not defective I would have to say the metal goes up into the head since that is where the most intense heat is.

I was thinking the same thing, metal side towards head.
