Default No power after i replaced the clutch and variator

Hello, any suggestions would be very helpful, Its a crossfire 150r before i replaced the clutch and variator it would take a few minutes to start rolling then it ran ok no power going up a slight grade, Now it wont hardly move at all, but it will run in reverse just fine.

welcome coppertop, sounds like your clutch is not closing like its supposed to, to tighten up on the belt to make it pull.

sounds like your belt may be stretched or worn out.

Sorry its took so long to get back to this but work has been brutal, Anyway i took the cover off and saw that the pulley was not moving at all it looks like the belt is to tight.
Isn't there supposed to be some slop on the belt?

yes there should be a little slack in the belt, enough for the pulley to turn without catching it, when idling.

ok, with the tires off the ground it does fine as soon as i put it on the ground it barely moves, so i got off it and pushed to a down grade and it gets moving kinda ok. it doesn't seem like its shifting like it used to.

Did you replace the weights with sliders? are they in correctly? Did you replace clutch springs?

sounds as though you may have something broke inside your front variator. probably need to jump the belt and take it apart to see.

Sounds like your valves need to be adjusted.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0K-ytyjOFg

adjust intake to 0.003 and exhaust 0.005

when you said the bell housing was blue, did you mean like it was burned from heat?

is there a bearing located in that housing where it looked burnt. If so it may be locking up. back behind the clutch that is, on the engine.

if it is so that would help explain why there was no power before and still none.

done a little adjusting on the carb and got it running a little bit better, it will go up an incline now but not very fast, before i put the new stuff on, it would down shift going up hill and shift up after it leveled out, now its not shifting very much.

well it feels like its shifting, i'm new to these things so maybe this could be the problem.
it jerks somewhat when going uphill like its down shifting then when you get on level ground it jerks and picks up speed like its up shifting

Have you checked the cvt for weak or broken springs, worn rollers or worn clutch pads? Also what kind of hills are to climbing, where are you located?
