Question Dang it! I'm already addicted...

My new buggy isn't even here yet and I'm already looking at Big Bore Kits, intakes, etc. Anyone know any good tear-down/engine removal guides? I'm new to buggies and the GY6. Except for AC/DC differences are all short case GY6's compatible with all the 150cc buggies? any particular motors incompatible?

wild,

You are right, these little things are very addictive. They are a blast to drive in stock form, they will fit on trails that a lot of vehicle will not fit, and they are relatively easy to work on. Also, if you are at least semi mechanically inclined, you can do most of the work yourself. Then there is the hop up potential. These little buggies are about the only type of vehicle that can really be hooped up for very little $$$. You can go from mild to wild for just a couple hundred dollars. Then you can upgrade your lights, start swapping out suspension parts, but I'm not addicted .

However, as far as the motor, I believe that most of the buggies use the long case, vs. the short case.
