Default I'm really thinking about getting this...

I am seriously considering getting an air performance kit that includes performance exhaust and intake setup. It is suggested to enlarge the intake on the head to match the intake included in the kit. I am just not sure about the milling out the intake on the head to 27 mm? How much more power will this give me? Will this kit really wake up my 150? or should focus my attention on something else.My maxxum carter 150 is bone stock right now.

it is a nice kit mike is a great guy
milling out the intake is easy but
should not be done unless you take the
head off to do it. buy the kit run it
then 1st time you rebuild head or motor mill intake port
i run two different heads the one on my buggie is stock
does great--my ported & polished head will go on next
time i pull motor down

thanks again for your input and advice olderthan ; ) Oh yeah i did get that carb up and running, but i have a small leak somewhere in the carb it needs a rebuild kit. So , i'm thinking just invest the money in a the level 4 kit and just enjoy the ride.

We used to have another member on here that went with one of those kits and claimed the entire carb setup was a bit too much for the 150cc. If you are finding that the 150 doesn't have enough umphhh for you, you may start looking at a 250cc. Talk to Tom at SYC Powersports. He actual drag races his buggies with outstanding results. See what he suggests as his setups have proved what they are capable of.

Where is your carb leaking?

I'm not sure where its leaking from yet.I worked a double shift today so i didn't get a chance to look at it today (8am to 12 midnight). I already ordered the 30mm pumper carb, the uni filter and the high rise intake. I didn't get the level 4 kit it was just hard to spend 500 bucks right now so i spent only 300 ..lol. I believe my next mod will be something for the drivetrain for more low end torque and better response. But well see after i get the new carb on how it does.
