Default 58.5 piston kit ring gap?

I orderd a 58.5 high compression kit and measured the ring gap. The top ring has .007 and 2nd has .010 of a inch. I am not sure if I should make it bigger
or leave it alone and take it easy on the motor until it wears in. I dont want to blow it up but I dont want to loose performance by making the rings too loose. I read that .004 per inch of bore is the rule. So 2.3 inches comes out to .009. I dont want to loose the square edge on the ring, or take a chance on chipping or breaking the ring when filing it. Any body have the minimum specs for a 150 piston rings?

.009" - .010" is good. Just make sure the ring is squared in the bore using the piston appx. 1" below the top deck.
