Default engine smokes......

OK my engine smokes so I figure time for rebuild. This is going to be family buggies. So no need to go 90mph +. Just want reliable, safe, and worry free, if there is such a thing.

This will be used for trail riding, no jumps rock climbs or any of that. Mostly wide open trails.

What all engine stuff should I get? Also I would like exhaust to be up and out of way in case some not so shallow water occurs.

Not sure what buggy or year you have, but in good running shape they will top out between 32 and 40 mph. If your happy with the way it run than I would just re-ring it. You can give me a call @ 662-301-1563 if you want to put a little power in it.

Thing is I don't know what it is either other than a 150cc gy6 clone with external reverse. I need a good cdi box for it and it will run. I believe the throttle cable is like a foot too long and there isn't any switches on it and all of the front wiring is trash. Plus my electric choke is bad I presume. I have to hold my finger over hole on throat of the carburetor and cross starter solenoid to start. Only had running for about 5 min. Not really long enough to even heat up
