Default Another dumb question.

My buddy just bought a Carbide 150 with 50 miles on it.
I built a track on my land, and I Smoke him.
His speedometer never goes above ~25mph.

He bought it used. How do I tell if the speed
Restricion kit is installed?
Thanks guys.

If I remember right, the kit is actually a spacer they put in the variator. Only way to know that for sure is to pull the side cover off and have a look. Or ask the people he bought it from if they had it put on.

I believe the speed reduction kit is a modified CDI unit.

Also if you are driving that Helix in your avatar you should smoke him irregardless. There is quite a bit of weight difference in the 2 machines. Never heard of a speed restricted cdi just a rev limited one that cuts out at 8000rpms.
