Default Piston rings

Does anyone know the right gap for the rings on a 57mm piston.I just got my new rings today.

.008-.009" is a good gap. "Rule of Thumb" for ring End gap is .004" /1.00"(25.4mm)

Sometimes special alloy ring composites will come with their particular specs, follow them. But if in doubt, .004"/1.00" will get you home and yeild many miles of carefree riding...

No problemo. Glad to see rings being gapped, too many guys playing Russian Roulette, with the "Plug & Play" technique.

Check a set yesterday, .002 & .003" out of the package. 1 or both would have broken on the first good heat up, WOT run...
