Default Helix 150cc Clutch Issues

I bought some upgrade for my clutch (1500 springs and 10 gram rollers) put them all in there and must have not put it back together right. Was running fine putting it around the yard and what not but then all of a sudden you would give it more gas and it wouldn't even move, just rev up. Tried it later and it worked again even when I stepped on it. Then got bad again and wont work at all only at barely idle speed. Sounded like clutch was engaging but just wasn't going nowhere. The front part where the rollers go is wobbly, is it suppose to be like that. My dad thinks it might be missing some parts, but we never had any extras laying around when we put it back together. Any ideas for me? Cause I have no clue..

The variator should not be woobly. Need to correct this and your problem will probably be solved.Remove the variator and set all parts to it out then take a pic and post it. We can then tell you if anything is missing.

If you click on the Go Advanced in the top tool bar is a paperclip. Click on this to add an attachment. I don't think this site will let you copy and paste for security reasons.

I don't see the sleeve in the pics which the variator rides on, also the center hole in the outer pulley fan looks a bit large. The end should be splined to mount up with spline on end of crankshaft. The sleeve is chrome looking and rides in the variator as well as on the crank, this is what the variator slides in and out on. I could not tell if this sleeve was still in the variator, but doesn't look to be. Go to my web site sycpowersports.com and look at the variators I have to see if you have all the parts shown. Also look at the outer pulley fan to determine if it looks like yours. Let us know what you think.

It slides on the crank shaft then the variator over it. This is what the variator slides back and forth on.
