Question need help

bought helix 150 used for my daughter and about a week later it stopped in the drive and died. when I checked it out there was melted aluminum on the ground under the large rubber vent tube on the plastic cover on the left side of the buggy. have very little experence with these buggies. any help would be great. also the wheels will not roll.

Sounds like the motor is probably toasted. These engine vent some oil so the oil has to be checked before each ride to insure oil level is maintained.

Pull the cover off of the belt. It is on the left side of the engine. If you toasted the engine, it would still roll. Sounds like the variator came apart which is still a pretty cheap fix.

pull the cvt cover check the variator belt & clutch if it won't roll probaly variator or clutch failed

I have seen a drive pulley melted by a kevlar belt that was slipping. Removing the CVT cover will give you a better idea of what is going on.
