Default electrical upgrade ideas

thinking about these headlights

and of course the 8 pole stator kit from bd to keep up for the higher wattage lights, i cant post the link from bd

That kit looks pretty cheap quality to me, doesn't come with a relay either. If you were to run those lights without a relay, the switch would likely melt or short out due to all the current going directly through it.

I know they are pricey, but I would look for some LED driving lights, they don't pull enough amperage to strain your stator or require a relay, although its still a good idea to use one. Add the cost of a light kit such as that and the price and work involved with an upgraded stator, and compare to a good set of LED lights, and make your decision from there. I'm willing to bet the LED option is less $$ out of pocket, and they will last forever.

The ones I was looking at previously I can't find now, I will look in the morning, but look for something with comparable light output to a decent halogen.
