Default carb problem.

ok well i took off my carb to my yerf and i cleaned it.it was realy dirty.my dad and i put it back on proprley and we tried to start it.i only turns over but dose not run.we primed it and everything but still no go. any ideas.i need it fixed before saterday.thanks

You have to give them a bit to get fired. I use starter fluid to eliminate an electrical issue although some will tell you to just use carb cleaner. Fact is, I KNOW that a small shot of ether will tell me for a fact that it got fuel. If it still doesn't fire, I know I will probably have to look somewhere else for the problem as to why it isn't starting.

If you just cleaned your carb, it will flat out take it a few to get fuel. One thing you can do is crack open the bowl drain screw until you see fuel coming out of the drain tube. That tells me that fuel is getting to it.

Bottom line is just give it a few times.

I agree with BuggyMaster. On my sons Runmaster II I completely ran the battery down trying to get it to fire after replacing the belt and variator. I had to recharge it and dose it with some starting fluid to get it to prime up. Had this happen on my Hammerhead as well so it has happened on 2 of the 7 buggies I've owned.
